The Kainuu Innovators’ Association was founded in the autumn of 1993 and it operates throughout the Kainuu region. The Kainuu Innovators is a local branch of the Federation of Finnish Inventors’ Associations.
Our association promotes inventing by encouraging and maintaining cooperation between innovators and by ensuring that their interests taken care of. Additionally we also advance the protection and use of innovations.
The Innovators’ Association organises inventors’ evenings in different parts of Kainuu every year. These evenings provide information on innovation activities and how to protect new inventions.
The association is actively involved with and organises introductory visits to organisations and different companies that support inventors.
Our association also participates in different competitions (e.g. InnoSuomi) and in different forms of training and advisory activity that promote invention.
Our member inventors also organise different campaigns with schools and colleges to promote innovation and creativity amongst young people.
Our association celebrated its 10th anniversary with a seminar and evening reception.
